FAQ / MEASUREMENT BOUNDARIES

What measurement can—and cannot—say.

01

What does GeoProbe measure today?

The public Snapshot runs market-specific API-chat panels: a Chinese fixed panel against configured China-market models, and an English fixed panel against configured global models. It records organic mentions, position, and answer divergence. It is not every AI product or web-search ranking.

02

Why is pasted web-answer comparison unavailable?

Web answers vary by account, region, retrieval, system prompts, and product ranking. Without a verifiable question, model version, timestamp, and execution context, they cannot be mixed with server measurements or admitted to a benchmark.

03

What does the free Snapshot include?

After work-email verification, one claim per domain every 30 days: three fixed questions × available models, returning mention rate, one key blind spot, and one primary competitor.

04

What is excluded from the free Snapshot?

Raw answers, the full competitive map, CSV, history, same-panel retests, and expert repair plans. Those belong to Diagnostic or Monitor.

05

Why require email and domain?

They verify access and enforce the 30-day domain cooldown. The server stores hashes, not public email or IP data. A cost ledger and CAPTCHA prevent bulk model-spend abuse.

06

Diagnostic versus Monitor?

Diagnostic is one complete 12-question evidence and action package with site audit, competitive context, repair hypotheses, and a scheduled retest. Monitor is recurring measurement, history, change records, collaboration, and eventually comparable benchmarks.

07

When will an industry benchmark be published?

Only after one vertical has 30+ brands, a fixed panel, six weeks of repeated measurements, and explicit model, region, language, and mode scope. API chat, web search, and manual observation are never mixed.

08

Does the score predict traffic or revenue?

No. It describes visibility under a particular panel, model set, mode, and time. Change effects require a same-panel retest with recorded confidence.

Use a bounded snapshot to establish whether there is a problem.

Move to Diagnostic only when you need execution, evidence, and a retest.
